How good was it to see the kids high fiving people as they ran through, and in the true
Community Spirit the runners high fiving back.

Well the day ran mostly according to plan.  Rain stayed away,  the people gathered, the
marshalls went on course, the gun blew, the runners ran, the runners finished, the pancakes cooked….and cooked…. and cooked and cooked (awesome work, (Trudy, Mark, Jo).

Thank you to all the marshalls, pre-race registration assistants, time/finish recorders.

The jumping castle entertained the kids, (thanks John and Racheal from night bootcamp and Kiddy Kapers), the face painter and pet rock maker (Suzi from star faces), the massage therapists (Janine and Donna),  the Lauriamr Fruit basket for the oranges (Ben and Marie), Athletes Foot for the show bags, (make sure you use your $20 discount voucher).

The Wonderful teachers and staff at Laurimar Primary School (especially Brett Hayes the PE teacher and Tim the Music teacher for making me sound awesome). Chris Keenan & Nick Watts from Create It website Design for setting up and monitoring the website and videoing the event. My wonderful family especially Peter my Husband for working like 10 men.

A big thank you must go to Delfin, especially Ann Jessop. (Community Development Manager). Thank you for supporting and financing the operation, (traffic management, radio’s, timing, council requiements, bib printing, brochure/poster printing)

Two years ago I was interviewed by Delfin regarding what I do, one of my goals was to organise a local fun run for the area.  After 3 months of planning, countless meetings, emails and phone calls I can tick that one off. Yeah me!!!

Today I stand truly proud of my achievement and overwhelmed by the amazing support and encouragement of the local community.  Thank you.

It is an honour to be involved in such a wonderful community.
